I think this kid is awesome and I wish I could shoot like him. I think he is gonna make it big time if there talking about maing a movie about it.
I think this is awesome! I play basketball and I have never scored 20 points and this kid can score 20 dang.
I think this goes to show you that anything could happen. Jason McElwain is an inspiration to all of the children struggling with autism. This a remarkable situation and he should be very proud of himself. He has the entire world looking up to him and he has also touched our lives. This is just an amazing feel good story and I think that it should be made into a movie.
Disney should look into making a movie. This is the kind of inspirational story that should be made. This story is awesome!

I think that this is truely an inspirational story. Not very many coaches would have given a kid like this the chance to play in the game. I admire the fact that the coach was not to concerd with the score of the game or winning, and the boy ended up scoring like 20 more points for the team.
As long as the student and his parents agree ...
YES, YOU BET! It would show not just how someone can overcome adversity, and in this case specifcally "Autism".
It would also let others see that people with "challenges" are the same as anyone else. They have hopes and dreams.
Sometimes their challenges are physical sometimes it's mental.
Some of the biggest challenges are other people and the way they act/treat you.
I know this first hand. I spent several years in a wheelchair and was told I would never walk again.
I have been walking for over 5 years.
When I was in the chair and in a store or elsewhere quite often a child wouold come up to me and ask me why I was in the wheelchair.
The parents would usually start to panic and usher the child away. I made it my mission to talk to the child expain why I was in the wheelchair and how the wheelchair worked.
The BEST way to change attitudes about the handicapped is to let them see when they are young that some people have different challenges in life, but we all are people just the same.
I think it is good that the coach actually put him in the game. Some coaches have kids like Jason the team, but they won't put them in just because they're "different." I think it's awesome that he scored 20 points too. And it was his very first varsity basketball game ever. That's really good that he got a chance to do that.
I think this kid makes his dreams come true. He is really amazing and adviously very talented, even though he has autism. Jason shows everyone that no matter what your disibily is you can still do what you want and make things happen.
Something like this makes me want to tear up because they treated him like he wasn't exactly like you and me. I think that is amazing because I can hardly score 6 points in a game and he can score 20 and he's never played before!!!!!! I would have loved to be at that game it just blew me away!!!
I think this is the biggest insperation to a lot of poeple, and a lot of disabled kids. This shows that anyone can do it at any sport if they just belive in themselves. I bet Jason McElwain after his two misses felt that he couldn't do it and after he made one after an other he belived.
This is really awesome any kid that can score 20 points in 4 minutes of a game and have autism is sure to make it big time .He should be proud of himself.
I think that it was really sweet that the coach let him play at the last varsity game. This comes to show that ANYone can do what other people think they can't. The best part about it is that he scored so many points and proved to everyone that he can do it too. The only problem I have with it is that I think the coach should've played him longer and at more than one game, but that's ok.
Well,he shot 6 6 pointers in 4 minutes he needs to bee on our basketball team we need someone like him.
I think this kid is great. It goes to show that just because a kid isn't mentally as smart as you, doesn't give you the right to make fun of that person. Apparently, as we all know, a miracle has touched his life, and he is an inspiration to us all.
I think it would be neat to have a movie about him. Well he shot better than anyone I know. 20 points in the last 4 minutes if the game thats good.
I think the kid was really good and that he is going to be really good if he keeps on trying. Maybe next year he would be able to play the whole season.
I think it is so amazing that a kid that was born with autism was able to excel in a sport that is a physical as basketball and still make friends along the way.
